Charlie Winfield is a Mississippi and Texas lawyer with experience representing clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters, including commercial litigation, insurance coverage actions, and construction disputes. - Obtained ruling from Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals directing entry of judgment in favor of life insurance company against beneficiary’s claims of breach of contract and bad faith failure to pay life insurance proceeds
- Represented major tool manufacturer in connection with termination of relationship with former distributor of fastener products
- Defeated the NLRB’s federal court request for injunctive relief against employer in California
- Represented fast food company in obtaining injunctive relief under Lanham Act against former franchisees
- Obtained $1.5 million judgment in favor of financing company and against services provider in connection with violations of lease agreements
- Obtained approval from the Mississippi Public Service Commission for proposed merger between telecommunications companies
- Participated in defense of funeral home company in bankruptcy court adversary proceedings involving sale of real property
